ISLAMABAD: The proceedings of the Flagship supplementary reference case are underway on Monday at the accountability court. On appearance, Captain (r) Safdar, son-in-law of the former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, told the media that Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz was the proponent of the Charter of Democracy.
He stated that the mandate of the people should be respected; the process of ridiculing the nation’s voice required change. He went on stating that the functioning of the institutions, departments and as well as the Senate needed to change.
Captain (r) Safdar said that the reason behind Nawaz Sharif’s disqualification was his consistent pressing on the issue of the return of former President Pervez Musharraf. He said that Musharraf had sought shelter in a foreign state when he should be on trial in the court.
He insisted that the senior lot should take rest as their brains stop functioning with the standard mental capacity after the age of sixty years.
